Design Week Mexico 2024 se complace en anunciar a Aguascalientes como el Guest State de esta edición, una distinción especial que subraya su riqueza cultural, creatividad e innovador potencial en el mundo del diseño. Esta colaboración es posible gracias al esfuerzo conjunto del Buró de Congresos y Visitantes de Aguascalientes y el Instituto Cultural de Aguascalientes del Gobierno Estatal de Aguascalientes.
Aguascalientes será el epicentro de las residencias de Vision & Tradition, un programa que celebra el encuentro entre lo contemporáneo y lo artesanal. En esta ocasión, diseñadores de Colombia, el país invitado, trabajarán mano a mano con artesanos y diseñadores de Aguascalientes. Juntos, explorarán nuevas formas de arte y diseño que integren la visión contemporánea de Colombia con las profundas tradiciones artesanales de Aguascalientes. Este intercambio promete ser una fuente de inspiración y creatividad, donde las culturas se entrelazan en una sinergia única.
In addition to its role in Vision and Tradition, Aguascalientes will have a significant presence in other aspects of the event. Aguascalientes designers and creatives will exhibit their works in various installations and events throughout Design Week Mexico 2024. This participation will highlight the diversity and originality of local talent, offering a window to the world to appreciate the depth and dynamism of Aguascalientes design.
The collaboration between Aguascalientes and Colombia will be a focal point at Design Week Mexico 2024, providing a unique opportunity for cultural and creative exchange. Colombian designers will have the opportunity to work closely with Aguascalientes artisans and designers, combining their innovative perspectives with traditional local techniques. This dialogue between two different cultures will give rise to projects and proposals that will reflect the best of both worlds, enriching the international design panorama.
The selection of Aguascalientes as a Guest State at Design Week Mexico 2024 is a recognition of its prominent role in the field of design and its ability to promote the creative industry in Mexico.
